We do NOT breed high drive working German Shepherd puppies (working line) for family, however, sometimes we do get a puppy that requires being in homes that will be training or doing ring sport. German Shepherd puppies in Kentucky, from our German Shepherd breeding start training with me at 6 weeks of age with methods used under my puppy training program, this way I am able to evaluate each litter and each German Shepherd puppy for intelligence and trainability, so the chances are you will get a German Shepherd puppy that already knows several commands from me working with each pup.

Von Jacobs is centrally located 50 minutes from the airports of Lexington, Louisville, and Cincinnati in the hills of Northern Kentucky in the Tri State area, on a 60 acre farm. The German Shepherd has been the preferred breed of the Jacobs family for over 35 years, offering loyalty and gentleness to family as well as protection. With our personal family raised, training became the central love and focus, starting with Parker. Schutzhund became the desired sport hobby, challenging both dog and handler / trainer, as it required passing testing in three areas of training in the same day, to even achieve this one title. Parker is also a dog that people are drawn to; his size, classic look and coat, a German Shepherd, I am proud to be with in public.
